Heather Beal is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with her MFA in Dance and a graduate of Columbia College Chicago with her B.A. in dance.  She was a principle dancer with the Katherine Dunham Museum Children’s Workshop Performance Company from the age of six into young adulthood. She performed with the company around the United States and France. She has also performed in Black Nativity, Raisin, Tell Me Somethin’ Good, Dreamgirls and Guys & Dolls at The Black Rep and several productions at the St. Louis MUNY. Heather is a certified Dunham Technique Instructor and currently teaches Dunham Technique at Washington University in St. Louis and performs as principle dancer with InnerVision Dance Theater under the direction of Keith Tyrone Williams.  She is also currently the Company and Box Office Manager at The Black Rep. She has choreographed Purlie, The Me Nobody Knows, Rivers of Women and Le Freak C’est Chic. Heather would like to thank her family and loved ones for their continued support, Katherine Dunham for her legacy, and God for the gift of dance.
